Casa Vado begins with an existing structure, transformed to create a new way of living. The intervention builds upon what was already there, reorganizing the spaces through a clear and straightforward logic while avoiding unnecessary structural modifications.

To maximize the interior area, circulation is shifted toward the exterior and resolved through a series of semi-covered walkways running alongside the pool. Moving through the house therefore becomes more than a functional act; it becomes part of the everyday experience, where light, vegetation, water, and architecture remain present throughout the journey.

The project seeks to create an intimate and serene retreat, where interior spaces maintain a continuous relationship with patios and open areas. The pool acts as an organizing element, while walls, openings, and shifts in scale frame different perspectives and create a sequence of spaces between enclosure and openness.

A restrained palette of exposed concrete, stone, wood, and vegetation reinforces this intention, allowing natural light and the passage of time to shape the character of the house.
