Casa Zen is a residence conceived through a search for serenity, introspection, and a meaningful connection with nature. Designed for a yoga teacher and practitioner, the project creates a contemplative environment where architecture supports a slower and more conscious way of living.

One of the guiding principles of the design was the preservation of the existing trees on the site. The building footprint was carefully positioned in response to the vegetation, allowing the natural landscape to shape the spatial organization of the project.

The house prioritizes quiet atmospheres through a sequence of spaces that encourage contemplation and a close relationship with the outdoors. Boundaries between interior and exterior are intentionally softened, integrating the living spaces with the surrounding landscape both visually and physically.

A custom plaster finish was developed specifically for the project, achieving the desired tone and durability while providing material continuity throughout the house. This restrained palette reinforces the calm and timeless character of the architecture.

Casa Zen proposes a balance between materiality, space, and nature, creating an environment where the spatial experience is oriented toward well-being, reflection, and calm.
